Upper Hutt School engaged us to transform a series of outdoor spaces into fun, vibrant environments that students could enjoy throughout the year. Using bold pops of colour integrated with the school’s existing landscaping, we created playful spaces that encourage activity, connection, and outdoor learning.

How did you find working with Think Turf?

I enjoyed all aspects of working with the Think Turf team, from initial ideas to logistics and the professionalism shown by those installing. The team were proactive and informative.

What has the reaction from the children and staff been like?

There has been a real buzz about the Turf. The students are confidently running around, sitting comfortably and using the features to their advantage. The logo has really attracted attention and Pride in our place. The spaces that were once turfed were difficult and uncomfortable; now they are appealing and fully utilised, which is amazing.

What is one thing you would tell another Principal considering a turf upgrade?

I would suggest they get you in, talk about what they want, and listen to the good ideas from the Think Turf team. I would say that the timeframes are really flexible and supportive of other things that are always going on in a school.
